Congress of the Medical Women’s International Association attend the secretary-general of the Medical Women’s International Association, Professor Shelley Ross (Canada). 9 August 2016

General Secretary of the Medical Women’s International Association Shelley Ross (Canada) addressed to the Organizing Committee with a welcome letter: "On behalf of the secretariat of the Medical Women’s International Association want to note that this conference is an important step, as the first World Association holds a congress in Russia. The Medical Women’s International Association is proud that "Russian Medical Women Association" is one of its new members. The MWIA started its activities in New York in 1919 by Dr. Esther Paul Lovejoy and his colleagues from around the world. One of the goals of the MWIA is to promote the health of all people throughout the world with particular attention to the health and social status of women. After reviewing your academic program, I see the hot topics of health and well-being of women and children, which corresponds to the objectives of the World Association.

I look forward to the opportunity to participate in the Congress and the meetin with many colleagues from Russia and other countries of Central Europe. "
